François Banneville
Head of Execution Services
François Banneville is Head of Execution Services, based in London. Before joining the group in 2024, François was running a consulting firm, advising banks, brokers, exchanges and fintech companies on their trading and execution strategies.
François began his career in 1994 as an equity volatility trader with Société Générale Tokyo. Between 1998 and 2004 he held various management positions on volatily trading and index arbitrage in Paris and London.
In 2004 François moved to the brokerage arm of Société Générale to head Program-Trading and spreadhead the development of the electronic trading franchise. In 2008 , he became Head of Société Générale’s Execution Services, a position which he held until 2019, when he became acting deputy CEO of SG International Ltd.
François graduated from EM Lyon and holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Management.
