Global Head of M&A ODDO BHF

Hubert Preschez started his career in Mergers & Acquisitions at BNP Paribas. He then spent 11 years at J.P. Morgan in London working on industrial mergers and acquisitions before moving to the cross-industry M&A department in Paris. He then joined Société Générale where, as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in France, he built up the Corporate Finance France department (M&A and ECM) while working as a senior banker for major French clients. At HSBC, he headed the French Investment Banking teams (M&A, ECM, Structured Finance, Derivatives, Rating Advisory and Senior Coverage) with more than 90 employees. Until August 2024, Hubert Preschez was Senior Partner of Jean-Marie Messier at Messier & Associés and member of the Executive Committee of Mediobanca IB. Hubert Preschez holds a law degree from the University of Paris V and Sciences Po, where he has taught for 20 years. He joined ODDO BHF as Global Head of M&A in 2025.

Laurent is Managing Partner of ODDO BHF Corporate Finance. Laurent joined ODDO BHF Corporate Finance in 2007. Laurent has more than 15 years' experience in the debt and acquisition finance market. He began his career at BNP Paribas in 1999, where he worked as a credit analyst for two years. Laurent then spent six years at Fortis Bank in the Leveraged Finance department, where he structured LBOs, acquisition finance and refinancing.
